Making a Flap

Loakal, which has been selling my upcycled clutches and coin purses for a few months now, requested some shoulder bags in January and this week I was finally able to deliver (literally; I dropped them off). I made three of them with this graphic upholstery fabric I picked up at the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse, and I love the way they turned out. I think the upcycled fabric sample pocket and magnetic snap are pretty dang good. Confession time: I really made four, and kept one for myself. Sewist's prerogative?

Selling Loakal

Just Sew Jana, in stores now! My roster is slowly expanding and I'm so excited to be welcomed into the Loakal Art Gallery & Boutique family. The Jack London Square store is selling some of my upcycled upholstery coin purses and clutches and I couldn't be prouder to be part of this artists' space.
